Lovely Lacock

I am lucky enough to live near the lovely town of Lacock in Wiltshire. Here are some photos I took recently when I went there for a wander around. The flowers were just beautiful!

A night of Lucian Freud and Banksy

 After weeks of there not being anything good to watch on TV,  Saturday night I sat down and watched two excellent programmes. Firstly BBC 2 showed a programme called 'Imagine sitting for Lucian Freud', a documentary about Lucian Freud the British portrait artist who recently passed away and the people who sat for his paintings. After this Channel 4 showed 'Exit through the Gift Shop' a documentary made by British street artist Banksy about the fickle world of Art. 
If you get chance you must watch these fascinating programmes!

I am really inspired by Islamic Art. I love the Geometric patterns and vibrant colours.

The Sketchbook Project

I am taking part in the Sketchbook Project 2012 organised by Art House Co-op.

Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the world. After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view. Sketchbooks will also be digitized and available to view online.


I think it is a very exciting project and a chance to get my work seen across the globe!

Design developments

I have been developing my design ideas in to collages to the correct scale for cushions so that I can then re-create them in fabric. (I only have an A4 scanner so the images you can see below are sections of the designs - not the whole thing.)
